Mr B N Herron:

That the House, noting that South Africa and the Western Cape lost a sporting hero and a true model with the untimely and sudden passing away of former Springbok rugby player, Chester Williams, on Friday 6 September 2019, acknowledges:

(a) the late Chester Williams’s contribution to South African sport and to uniting South Africans;

(b) that his passing is a loss to our country and our province; and

(c) his work as a rugby coach, mentor, and his many charitable contributions; and therefore expresses its condolences to his wife, Maria, his family, friends and colleagues.
